Sunday we started at noon by meeting the Toni and Phil Grimes and their children Romy and Evelyn from Indianapolis, Indiana. Romy and Evelyn were terrific with their new puppy and asked many excellent questions. Including the question from Romy, "Why do dogs like to be petted?". The answer is; just as in people the act of patting releases endorphins in the body which are very pleasant.

Their puppy will be called "Rovi", and his registered name is from the Beach Boy's song, Baby Blue,

Foxfair Baby Blue. Rovi is very handsome and will be going to puppy class soon. We think that Evelyn has a special touch in dog training and hope that she continues to practice.

 

 

 

 

Shortly thereafter Anita and John Ford arrived for their puppy from Pickerington, Ohio, "Riley" will be their puppy's call name. Riley's registered name will be Foxfair Catch A Wave, and they are interested in training him in agility and other AKC competitions. He starts his puppy kindergarten class next week at Cleveland All Breed Training Club where Jeanne also teaches. Riley just melted into Anita's arms and sailed out the door without looking back. We are so glad he goes to such a wonderful home and that we will be seeing him often.

 

 

 

 So, our Pink Girl looked a lot like her brothers Blue and Green. So much so that we kept getting her mixed up! She went home with Jeanne and I am hoping she did not cry in the car going home. Even though I stuffed a bone with treats for her and she had a chewy to occupy her. I know they will all miss their littermates and their mom. So it is hard to part with them. The only thing that makes it bearable is that they are going to such excellent homes where they will be the loved and cared for. We know everyone will keep in touch and the puppies will be treasured.
